About

At Sola Bible Church, we are devoted to Christ, committed to the Scripture, seeking to equip the saints, all to the glory of God.

Join us on The Lord’s Day!

We meet on Sundays at 219 E King Ave, Temple, Tx, 76501.

Beliefs

Sola Bible Church is a non-denominational church in the reformed tradition. We believe and joyfully proclaim the gospel of Christ: God is the Holy Creator; every person owes Him worship and perfect obedience. Instead, we all have rebelled against Him. Our sin separates us from God, but He provided a way for us to be brought back into a right relationship with Him. God sent His one-of-a-kind Son, Jesus Christ, who lived the perfect life we should have lived and died the death that we deserved to die, taking the punishment we earned because of our sin. His call to the Gospel is a call to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and God will save you, reconciling you to Himself.

Teaching and Music

God’s Word stands alone as the authority of His Church. Therefore, we are committed to teaching God’s Word at every level of our Church’s ministry. We teach primarily through consecutive exposition (verse-by-verse teaching through a whole book of the Bible). The Elders of the church, and those designated by the Elders as gifted to do so, share the responsibility of teaching. We sing a blend of traditional hymns, modern hymns, and choruses that have as their objective, the clear communication of God’s Truth in conjunction with the Scripture.

Leadership

As a church, we are committed to training the next generation of Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Missionaries, and leaders. While we affirm God’s unique giftedness of both redeemed men and women to serve Christ’s Church, God clearly commands for the local Church to be led by a plurality of qualified men, called Elders. In order to build our Church leadership in the manner that God’s Word prescribes, we are committed to identifying, training, and testing men in conjunction with the standards set forth for each office of the Church (1 Tim 3:1-7, 8-13, Titus 1:5-9).
