Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry at Sola Bible Church exists to come alongside the women of our congregation to shepherd them in God's Word, equip older women to invest in younger women, call every woman to personal holiness and submission to the authority of Scripture, train them to be a faithful witness in their homes, their church, and their community, and to challenge them to walk with Christ with endurance, joy, and grace in every season of life.

The following principles drive this ministry:

  • Commitment to the truth of God's Word as the sole foundation for womanhood, discipleship, and life (2 Tim 3:16-17)

  • Proclamation of Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor 2:1-2), with the goal of seeing every woman come to saving faith if not yet in Christ, and grow to full maturity in their walk with Him if they are (Col 1:28-29)

The Women's Ministry seeks to pursue the programs for Christ's Church as prescribed clearly in His Word in the following ways:

  • Worship — gathering to honor God in spirit and in truth as women made for His glory (Jn 4:24)

  • Fellowship — encouraging and building up one another in the faith (Heb 10:24-25)

  • Ministry — serving one another and the body with love and intentionality (1 Pet 4:8)

  • Teaching — grounding every woman in the careful study and application of Scripture (Eph 4:11)

  • Discipleship and evangelism — fulfilling the biblical mandate and the Great Commission with faithfulness and boldness (Titus 2:3-5, Matt 28:19-20)

Methods of ministry are rooted and grounded in the truth of God's Word, and are as follows:

  • Cultivating intentional Titus 2 relationships between older and younger women in the congregation

  • Upholding a high standard of biblical womanhood rooted in Scripture rather than culture

  • Use of God's Word as the sole basis for all teaching, study, and counsel

  • Emphasis on the real needs of the soul — identity in Christ, sanctification, and eternal purpose

  • Encouraging women to serve faithfully in the home, the church, and the community

  • Providing regular opportunities for fellowship, study, and corporate encouragement

  • Hosting events and conferences that equip women to live boldly for Christ in a closed world

The ministry can be evaluated by the clear demonstration of:

  • Enduring faithfulness and perseverance in the Christian walk (Matt 24:13)

  • Ever-increasing conformity to the image of Christ in thought, word, and deed (Eph 4:13)

  • Older women faithfully investing in younger women according to the Titus 2 pattern (Titus 2:3-5)

  • Growing in personal holiness, love for Scripture, and boldness in witness (2 Pet 3:18)
