Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at Sola Bible Church exists to come alongside the parents of the youth to help, partner with and to shepherd their children in God’s Word, submit to Christ and the authority of His Word, Teach the Truth, call them to obedience and personal holiness, train them to evangelize the next generation, and to challenge them to walk faithfully with Christ, and to serve Him diligently using their own unique giftedness.

The following principles drive this ministry

  • - Commitment to the truth of God’s Word as the sole foundation (2 Tim 3:16-17)

  • - Proclamation of Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor 2:1-2), with the goal of seeing every teen brought to salvation if not in Christ, and maturity in their faith if they are (Col 1:28-29).

  • The youth ministry seeks to pursue the programs for Christ’s Church as prescribed clearly in His Word in the following ways:

    • - Worship (Jn 4:24)

    • - Fellowship (Heb 10:24-25)

    • - Ministry (1 Pet 4:8)

    • - Teaching (Eph 4:11)

    •  - Discipleship and evangelism (Matt 28:19-20, Acts 1:8).

    • Methods of ministry are also rooted and grounded in the truth of God’s Word, and are as follows:

      • - Communicating and enforcing high standards of conduct in all areas of life, both inside and outside the Church.

      • - The constant call to watch both life AND doctrine.

      • - Use of God’s Word as the sole basis for all curriculum.

      • - Desire to meet the real needs, as opposed to “felt” needs.

      • - Emphasis on memorization, study, and application of biblical truths taught.

      • - Involvement in fun activities.

      • - Fellowship with faithful men and women.

      • The ministry can be evaluated by the clear demonstration of:

        • - Enduring faithfulness (Matt 24:13)

        • - Ever increasing measure of conformity to Christ’s image (Eph 4:13)

        • - Imitating elders as they imitate Christ (1 Cor 11:1)

        •  - Growing in personal holiness (2 Pet 3:18).
